Mountain Lake Services was founded 35 years ago as a way for families in Essex County to receive support for their loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What started as a small sheltered workshop has blossomed into an agency that provides a comprehensive array of services to over 500 individuals. With the support of our communities, a committed Board of Directors and hard working, dedicated employees, Mountain Lake Services has earned a reputation as an exceptional service provider.
In an effort to raise awareness of intellectual and developmental disabilities and to celebrate our 35th year of providing quality services, Mountain Lake Services will be observing Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month throughout the month of March. As part of this celebration we will be hosting 6 community events throughout the county. We also will be sponsoring an essay contest for students grades 3-12.
You can participate in Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by attending one of our community events, becoming a member of Mountain Lake Services or by making a donation to support our services.
